Hi, we're Irene & Tom. We're crazy about data, and we love making it work harder for our clients.
We've spent years in agencies as analytics and data science leads, but we have also done other things. Our experiences in loyalty, business case development, media planning, and IT integration have all shaped how we see data and its potential, and made us better analysts.

We make it easy... and actionable: We have both spent over a decade in client-facing technical roles so we are well versed in presenting complex work simply, with clear, actionable recommendations. We don't just churn out analytical outputs, we offer advice on interpretation as well as how best to communicate results to your own stakeholders.
Pragmatic problem solving: We are perfectionists at heart, but we appreciate that sometimes the 8/10 result at 2/10 the cost is the right choice. We strive to find simple, efficient solutions... and to not open walnuts with sledgehammers. When there is a real cost/outcome tradeoff, we present options so you can make an informed choice.
Deep and wide expertise: While our core experience is in analytics, our combined skillset includes many adjacent areas. Our prior work in data management, IT integration, media planning, and business case development means that we can offer advice beyond the analysis.
Our bios
Irene's first job out of uni was at Statistics New Zealand and she never looked back. Since then she's analysed billions of rows of data, helped countless businesses make better data-driven decisions, and even used data science to keep a power station running!
Tom loves translating business questions into code, automating things, and finding unexpected gems in data. He enjoys a challenge and has applied his problem-solving toolkit to myriad puzzles, including the marketing holy grail of attribution modelling.
Data science? Daintree? How does that work?
It works pretty much the same way it did when we were in Melbourne, thanks to our 90mbps 4G internet connection.
For most projects, we take a brief - over email, phone or video conference - and put together a plan with estimates of timings and cost. We then complete the work, looping back on any changes, roadblocks or queries, then present back on a voice or video conference. For longer engagements we typically provide updates at key milestones or per an agreed comms cadence.
This is the same process we have used for years whether we've been working out of Melbourne, Sydney, or even overseas.
